I had this professionally installed for my wife’s Chevy Traverse. It worked well for about 3 days and died. Went into protect mode. To trouble shoot, the installer disconnected all input and outputs, then reset it and it went into protect in a few seconds. Contacted the manufacturer and they had me mail it in for warranty repair at my cost. After 3 weeks I got it back. Hooked it up and it played at low volume for 5 minutes and died again. Same issue. They won’t refund my money so I sent it in again but had to buy the wife a used one so she has music (and On Star, warning sounds etc) while we wait again. I plan to install it in my truck to test it when it comes back.

I hooked up a volt meter and a oscilloscope to see where the distortion would start at on AMP when I turn up the gains.Well….. I was only able to get 70 watts on all 4 channel clean power not the 113 watts @ 4ohms they claim. As for the 5th channel it goes well beyond what they claim. No distortion and wattage was higher than advertised. This amp is a great amp if all you’re looking for is to upgrade from a factory setup but becareful on how high you turn up the gains because they will distort and flat line causing you to blow your speakers and subs. I recommend you rent a oscilloscope and find your best gains.I’m running 4 speakers alpine 5×7 type S and 2- 10inch JL 200Watt RMS subs wired in 2ohm format. This amp really makes them sound impressive. I wish the amp would push cleaner power in the range of 80-100 watts on the 4 channel as it claims but it only at 70.So I give this this a solid 4 out of 5 stars for it’s price point.Amp does get hot.

I read reviews on SEVERAL 5-channel amps over the course of a week because I wanted to avoid having to run additional power wires. I found that this amp provided adequate power and had acceptable specs so I ordered it. Shipping was punctual and the packaging was undamaged.Prior to hooking it up, I checked my wiring. After mounting and wiring, I started my test song (Sublime-Caress Me Down). The gain was all the way the way down and I had yet to start tuning it in. Then, with ~15 seconds remaining, I lost sound to all speakers. I immediately killed the engine, double-checked my wiring, and felt/smelled for hotspots. All checked out fine. Those procedures took 8-10 minutes. On the second test, the same song played ~10 seconds and stopped. Again, I closely inspected the wiring and connections, which are both 4 awg. (power & ground). All wiring was tightly connected with no shorts. Those procedures took 15-20 minutes as I looked more closely at every connection. The third test resulted in ~35 seconds of music. That being said, even without being tuned, the sound was clear and the amp seemingly provided plenty of power.I contacted Amazon Tech-Support using their chat-box. The rep. suggested I follow-up with a warranty claim but I chose to return the amp. I had a message with my return info before I left the chat-box.

I picked this up in 2012 as part of a continued audio upgrade for my ’03 BMW 330i ZHP when I added a sub enclosure that utilized the ski-pass to avoid rattle in the trunk with no need for sound deadening/dampening materials. The sound was increased exponentially through the factory HK speakers, which I have not upgraded at this time.It still works flawlessly and was a great investment for my car audio.

Easy goes into protection mode if you want to turn the channel levels up. I tried several time of twinkling the levels still after 30 mins hot to the touch. I would not recommend for anyone that wants a nice crisp sound to your system. I really could tell the difference between my HD unit that pumps 50 x 4 out max to the speakers. Bridge forget about it. Didn’t happen ! Couldn’t make it up the block before no sound.

These amps are great sounding and very powerful but they do overheat and go into protective mode. This is not a problem if you are on a cold state but will be an issue if you are in the southern warm states. I had to install cooling fans to keep my from going into protective mode; especially when I’m in Georgia, as I alternate between NJ, NY and GA. Also, this a a big amp and requires a lot of installation space. I will not recommended this for car or 4 door sadan owners like myself, its ideal for big trucks or SUVs by my opinion.

The amp was powerful for the price. The power terminals are not typical, you have to use a spade connector for the Power and Ground. The amp worked well while it the vehicle was stationary, but the first bump I hit in the road, it went in to protect mode. Amazon was easy to work with on getting a refund. I purchased a different amp. But might have just goat a faulty one from the start.

If I could give this product and this seller 0 stars, I would. We ordered this amp for our teenage son for Christmas and he was so excited to have it installed in his car. We hooked it up the end of January and it didn’t work. I emailed the seller twice with no response. I was finally able to reach them by telephone the first week of February and was told we missed their 30 day return window and couldn’t get a refund. I explained that it was a Christmas gift and we hadn’t been able to get it installed until the end of January. They didn’t care. They said our only option was to return it for another unit but we had to pay shipping even though their product was defective. It cost me $29 to ship the amp back to them so now I’m out that money as well as getting a product I don’t even want. Terrible product and terrible customer service. I will shout from the rooftops to warn people not to buy from this company. Amazon should vet their sellers a little better.

Ran an amp dyno test.Rated : 563w @ 4 OhmTested at : 109.43w @ 4 OhmRated : 1125w @ 2 OhmTested at : 208.64W @ 2OhmBoth test setups were run at minimum of 5 times using 4AWG ground and power wires with a stable 14.8V DC supplied power. These are maximum outputs at 50hz.Flat and simple, this company ratings are a straight up lie. This amp doesnt come close to ratings. Planet Audi should be ashamed to over rate their amps by this much.Basically <20% of the rated 563w at 4 OhmAnd an embarrassing <19% s 2Ohm

Absolutely satisfied with this amp. I bought two of these to pair with the two Planet Audio AC12D 1800w subs I bought and I couldn’t be happier with the result. In other reviews and even other websites there is a lot of negative feelings towards this amp and it’s output ability. I have not tested for actual amperage or watt output but paired with a single 12″ sub this amp performs extremely nice. You can spend twice as much on an amp and get better performance but not everyone has that kind of money to throw around. If you want competition quality you have to spend the money for it. If you are just looking to add some serious bump to your trunk, save yourself some cash and go with Planet Audio.

Took off a star because the RMS power is exaggerated. But if you don’t know that low end amps are extremely overrated in power, you may want to consider looking for something higher end. I am running two 12 inch MTX Terminators at 400 RMS easily with at least 100 – 200 watts of headroom. It’s probably closer to 600 RMS, not 1100. I actually tested it with a multimeter, something that apparently no one else is willing to do based on the rest of the bad reviews on this amp. Don’t listen to anyone who hasn’t actually tested the output of this amp. The amp sounds great, hits hard with the right speakers paired to it and is definitely cheap enough so that if it blows up in 6 months I will have gotten my moneys worth out of it. Highly recommended for a budget setup. I would buy it again.

The amp doesn’t seem to be reliable at all. As the headline says, even with the gain set to the lowest setting, if I turn up the stereo’s volume past midway the amp goes into protection mode and kills the audio. I have to turn off the stereo and back on to get it to work. I’ve had to kill the base and keep the volume low to prevent it from cutting out. When it started to do this, I contacted Speece (the seller) for help and was told that it sounded like the amp is going into protection mode and that someone from their support department would contact me to resolve it. Their solution was for me to contact Boss Audio support. A complete waste of time!My test for whether a a product deserves consideration is how well the seller stands behind their product. In this case, I would have to give it an (F) for fail.

First of all this is not a 1600 watt amp. At 2 ohms it’s probably more like 200 watt rms. However, going into this purchase I figured this would be the case. I have it pushing 4 kicker cs series door speakers in my jeep and it sounds much better than just the 50 watt head unit. Which is all I wanted. Just please be informed this amp is really only for door speakers and you will be disappointed trying to use it with a subwoofer. Other than that it has been working fine for 2 week

Im not a certified installer, but have over 30 years experience with audio/video electronics service, repair and installation. Combined with Naval aviation electronics electro- mechanical service, I should be considered a knowledgable person in the car audio rhelm. Audio Planet has a great selection of amps Having bought a 1200w Anarchy amp from Amazon years ago, I am wanting half that power for my 91 toyota pickup, which is a small truck cab, im using two 12s in sealed enclosures On top of that, this amp wont eat up amps from my alternator. Although i recommend a capacitor or another battery to keep from dimming the headlights at high volume levels, in my truck specifically. buy Planet Audio instaed. I did!!!

I have it pushing two kicker comp c 15’s for $60.99 I paid I’m very happy I bought this anarchy 1500 watt amp nice deep clean and loud the way I wanted it. These subs rated 1200 peak a piece 600 rms and it’s hitting the low notes very hard and clean no distortion. I recommend this amp if you looking for serious bass and the bass knob is made very nicely as well . I might upgrade later to the 3000 watt anarchy but for now this will definitely do
